SportingPulse has announced a partnership with YouTube to enhance grassroots sports administration.
Australia’s largest grassroots sporting network, SportingPulse and the world’s largest online video destination, YouTube today announced a partnership that will enhance the video experience for local sporting organisations.
The agreement sees SportingPulse join the YouTube Partner Programme, through which YouTube will offer all sporting organisations administered by
SportingPulse a range of partner benefits in launching, aggregating or re-branding existing YouTube video channels.
These benefits include:
- Customising on-site video channels
- Stronger integration between web and mobile hosted videos
- The ability to upload longer videos and larger video files
- Additional owner control over video and rights management
- The ability to live stream sporting matches and have them available as an on-demand video. This benefit is exclusively available to YouTube partners.
These benefits are available to all SportingPulse clubs free of charge.
SportingPulse hosts the local sporting competition websites for over 30 sports around Australia including the Australian Football League (AFL), Australian Rugby League (ARL) Football Federation of Australia (FFA), Basketball Australia and Hockey Australia.
The chief executive officer of SportingPulse, Nick Maywald welcomed the partnership saying: “At SportingPulse, our goal is to provide all of our partners and users with the right resources and tools to help them manage their competitions effectively.
“Video is a powerful way to communicate content between stakeholders. YouTube is the world’s largest online video destination connecting millions of users everyday.
“By partnering with YouTube, we are entering an exciting phase in our video and web content strategy. Historically, sporting organisations have had difficulty implementing video due to cost. Now, not only will they be able to easily implement and integrate the function through our site but will have sophisticated tools and services to boost their video capabilities available.”
Richard North at YouTube Australia said that they were delighted to be welcoming SportingPulse into the YouTube Partner Programme.
“The SportingPulse Network has a vast array of sports videos which we're excited to be showing on YouTube.
“One of the best ways to enjoy sport is through video or live streaming. We’re pleased to be providing the Australian grassroots sporting community with greater access to additional tools and functions to enhance their online sporting experience.”
